Chap Goh Mei N Lou Sang 上山撈生

After excessive feasting during the Chinese New Year, we just can't wait to go back trekking and mountain climbing.

Meeting old trekking friends and enjoying nature.

At one of the spot which we use to rest, someone hang up beautiful origami cranes and ang pau( 红包 ) packets of good wishes

turning the place with ambience of chinese culture.

Symbolic meaning of origami cranes ( peace ) in http://www.lisashea.com/japan and Thousand Origami Cranes (千羽鶴 )

With wishes of Peace, prosperity, as well as all good wishes as, 2009 will be good and successful.

上山
撈生
Our Watermelon Lau suggested Lou Sang( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yusheng) up on the mountain

It was not a bad idea after all, having worked out the logistics.

He brought along a set of Take Away Yee Sang Set ( Raw Fish Salad set) up Bukit Tabur.

Mixing all the crackers, and sweet condiments and raw fish and sauces.

We had a good time Lou Sang or tossing the small mountain of Yee Sang to a Healthy & Prosperous year.

Looks like we are putting in more calories than burning away in trekking.

It just doesn't matter where we tossed the Yee Sang, at the restaurent, at home or up on the mountain.

Everyone was having fun.

To make it more memorable and interesting next time, we should use branches from the trees instead of disposable chopstick.

And now, i have an idea.

Instead of throwing mandarin oranges into the river during Chap Goh Mei, what about have the trekkers change their mindset,

Do something different ?

Chap Goh Mei, Chinese Valentine Day,....

with jungleful of insects as witness, and birds serenading

Like minded trekkers,....,

Up on the
Mountain Top, Full Moon, Soft breezes,

Mandarin Oranges, Bananas, A cup of nice coffee, etc....

Oh my God ! it's perfect setting for singles, the unmarried in the Match Making

and you throw the mandarin oranges and bananas ....

and love blooms , like the lallang and the trees up on the mountains

But
,...

provided you can reach the mandarin oranges and bananas faster than the inhabitants of the jungles.

I heard monkeys do peel oranges and bananas with their limbs, leaving you with the peel with emails and telephone numbers intact.

Am I right in this ?

Anyone has the answer ?

Well, I do have a solution of celebrating Chap Goh Mei up on the mountain,

Be brave, do like what NIKE says

JUST DO IT,

throw whatever you want into your secret admirer's trekking bags.
